How we got here
Hi, I'm Lindsey—a mother of four, entrepreneur, and former Chief Clerk for the Montana House of Representatives.
I'm passionate about helping families, schools, and churches discover wholesome children's books that nurture young hearts, spark imaginations, and instill a lifelong love of reading.
How the Wholesome Book Database began
In 2022, we set out to make finding wholesome children's books easier. We launched an online bookstore where families could shop with confidence, knowing every book had been carefully reviewed. The response was incredible! We've shipped more than 15,000 books to homes and schools across the country!
But along the way, we heard you asking for more. You wanted an easy way to look up a book, explore its content, and decide whether it was a good fit for your family—without having to read every book yourself.
We heard you, and we're making it happen!
We're thrilled to introduce the Wholesome Book Database! 🎉 This growing resource makes it easier than ever for parents, grandparents, teachers, and librarians to discover wholesome books and make informed choices. Simply search for a title, explore its content notes, and find the information you need to choose with confidence.
More Good Books. Less Guesswork.
Our goal is simple: to save you time, make book discovery easier, and help you feel confident about what your children read.
Discover stories that educate, inspire, build character, and enrich children's lives. Find new favorites, revisit beloved classics, and uncover wonderful books you might never have found otherwise.
How the Wholesome Book Database Can Help You!

Philippians 4:7,8
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy– think on these things.
