With Daring Faith

Like Anne of Green Gables, Amy Carmichael was willing to take chances and have adventures. She loved animals and she loved having fun. Sometimes she got into trouble.

This was the spirit Amy carried with her from her childhood, as she took the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the mission field in India. In fact, Amy became the first British missionary to find out what was really happening to the little girls in the heathen temples.

Her focus then shifted from reaching the women to rescuing the children.

She never married, but during her life Amy's "family" grew to almost a thousand children who had been rescued and brought to Jesus.

In Amy Carmichael's victories in India, we see the victory of the Lord Jesus Christ over the powers of darkness.
