Fly High John Glenn: The Story of An American Hero

From award-winning author Kathleen Krull and illustrator Maurizio A. C. Quarello comes an inspiring and patriotic picture book about the life of American hero John Glenn.

For as long as he could remember, John Glenn loved to fly. He dreamed of soaring high above the clouds and flying airplanes. And he did, first by joining the United States military.

Then, when space travel became a possibility, he trained to become an astronaut. John Glenn wasn’t just the first American to orbit Earth.

He was a soldier, a family man, a United States senator, and a national hero. He laid the groundwork for future space voyagers—and dreamers—everywhere.
